I have spent most of my life in Campbell River - but over the years traveled inside Canada. Three years ago I took my first yoga teach training in Calgary. After I completed my training my heart called me back to the ocean and back to my hometown. I left training with the intention that I would one day open a studio. I started teaching in the community right away.

Within a year my path guided me and doors opened so that I could move into ownership of my first yoga studio. I was in join ownership of OM Yoga for 1.5 year. I am now sole owner and am approaching year 2 that the studio has been open.

Community involvement: Currently I actively teach in the community.

Outside of my studio I have collaborated with other business owners to offer fusions.

Currently I am offering classes at Urban Dance Connection, Wesr Coast Muscle, and holy hill farm. Over the last year have taught at timberline, Phoenix, urban dance connection, solstice studio, berwick retirement, defeat depression walk, fitness in the square and health and wellness day. I believe that yoga is for everyone and everybody so I am driven to get out of the studio and offer sometimes free classes to those that may not be able to attend the studio. I often do social media contests that give away passes to those in need. Currently I am giving away a session to our fall yoga teach training, youth yoga and teen yoga. These are fully paid so that students that can not afford to are now able to attend from our community.

Social interaction: I love practicing yoga and all different styles.

When I am not practicing yoga you can find me at a dance class or hiking in the forest. When I am not sweating and moving I enjoy cooking meals for family and friends, making crystal grids and reading tarot. We have so many amazing food spots in town and I love a good night out somewhere local with food, laughter and a splash of wine. To wind down I read, meditate and spend time with my husband and our reptile baby's. ( leopard gecko and bearded dragon)

Professional development: I currently am attending about 3 yoga trainings per year and numerous workshops. I am currently in a mentorship program as I have been learning how to "teach the teacher." This has been an incredible experience. Over the next year I am booked to coteach 3 yoga teacher trainings. Each training I teach I consistently am learning and growing my teachings and my personal practice.

Business networking: Women in Networking. Collaboration with local businesses. I hold these relationships by supporting them in their business, spending time, and getting to know them.
