Born and raised in Campbell River, I moved to Vancouver to attend UBC where I got a commerce degree in accounting and finance. After university I went to work at a large accounting firm, Deloitte LLP, and became a Chartered Accountant. I spent 12 years working at Deloitte and somewhere in there I met my wife, got married and had two kids. Before our kids started school we decided that we wanted to improve the quality of our life and made the decision to get out of the busy city. We moved back to Campbell River at the end of 2015 and I now work in the finance group at Broadstreet Properties.
I am the treasurer of the Campbell River Community Foundation and the Centre for Aquatic Health Science. Both are non profit organizations with great goals doing amazing things in Campbell River. I enjoy playing Basketball, Volleyball, a little bit of squash and then lots of time spent outside playing with kids and our dog. I am either learning on the job doing new things, through the boards that I sit on or through various professional development courses. Books also help.
