I am a Registered and Board-Certified Hearing Instrument Practitioner at the Island Beltone Hearing Care Centre. Prior to specializing in hearing, I studied biology and psychology at the University of Alberta. I am proud to say that I am a new resident in Campbell River, having just moved here from Alberta. Although I have spent most of my life east of the Rockies, my true roots are here on the Island where I was born… It was only a matter of time before the ocean pulled me back.
I look forward to helping my new community as part of YPCR. Previously I have enjoyed attending various fundraising events, and being part of both Christmas hampers and the Calgary Mustard Seed. I also will jump at the chance to participate in any charity run.
Currently I can often be found participating in community fitness classes at the Sportsplex, wandering through the forest, or fishing with my dad. I love to discover local restaurants with friends, and will never turn down a coffee or (Island Farms) ice-cream date.
I am a member of several professional groups, including the Canadian Hearing Instrument Practitioners Society, the International Hearing Society, the National Board for Certification in Hearing Instrument Sciences, and the IDA Institute Hearing Co-operation. As the science of hearing loss is constantly growing, I regularly attend symposiums and seminars so that I can continue to provide the highest level of care.
Joining the Young Professionals of Campbell River is my first (of hopefully many) endeavors into the networking world. I look forward to meeting and learning from my fellow YPCR members
